In recent years, Emden has become a focal point of the start-up scene in East Frisia. This was made possible not only through close cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, but also by networking with many supra-regional contacts and experts.
We want the innovative environment in Emden to continue to grow. The networking of the actors is crucial for this. This is one of the reasons why we hold the Start-up Weekend Ostfriesland once a year. This is where start-ups, interested parties, companies and institutions meet in a creative environment.
Our goal is also to promote the start-up culture even further within the regional economy. We are convinced that established companies also benefit from the methods that start-ups use. In this way, they too can benefit from a new boost in the development of products and services.
